A&E Committee Group Outing: Flower Drum Song Performance May 24th | 1:00PM The Arts & Entertainment Committee is hosting a special group outing to see Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Flower Drum Song, reimagined by acclaimed playwright David Henry Hwang. This refreshed production explores themes of identity, belonging, culture, and immigration, issues that remain just as relevant today as when the original debuted in 1958. Hosted by East West Players in partnership with the Japanese American Cultural and Community Center, this performance highlights the work of the nation’s longest-running Asian American theater company and a leading voice in AAPI storytelling. 📍 Location: Aratani Theatre (Little Tokyo) 📅 Date & Time: Sunday, May 24 | 1:00 PM (Matinee) CCLA members save 25% off tickets for ANY performance through May 31 by using discount code: CCSAVE25. Golf Committee 6:00pm-7:00pm Golf Committee seeks to drive engagement between both beginning and experienced golfers and provide a path to maximize the golf-related benefits for City Club LA Members. Reservations are required for all Member events that occur at City Club LA. City Club requires 48 business hours in advance of the event for your cancellation. If a cancellation is not received 48 business hours in advance, the Member will be charged the full price of the event for each person reserved. Jose Cuenca's Wine & a Movie | The 25th Hour (2002)
Jose Cuenca's Wine & a Movie 7 PM | Complimentary Join Award-Winning Cinema Journalist, Winemaker and City Club member José Cuenca as he presents classic movies and a complimentary glass of his Little Boat or Mateo wines. Screenings will also include a movie introduction, curated discussion afterwards and a special Screening Room food menu MOVIE The 25th Hour (2002) Cornered by the DEA, convicted New York drug dealer Montgomery Brogan reevaluates his life in the 24 remaining hours before facing a seven-year jail term. IMPORTANT NOTE: RSVP's have priority over walk-ins for regular seating and will be checked at the door. Event is capped at 14 RSVP's due to seating capacity. Members who have RSVP'd must be in their seats no later than 7:05 PM unless they have contacted the front desk ahead of time. Walk-In members may be seated at the Club's discretion based on attendance. A maximum of three overflow seats MAY be used at the Staff's discretion.
