Notorious DTLA Walking Tour @ City Club Los Angeles
Notorious DTLA Walking Tour February 21 | 10 AM – 3 PM Step into the darker side of Downtown Los Angeles on a guided walking tour with Sian Seligman, where history meets intrigue at every turn. Together, we'll trace the stories of crime, scandal, and mystery that shaped the city's most iconic streets and landmarks. Our journey begins at City Club Los Angeles with a complimentary LA Metro Day Pass (courtesy of Cris Liban and LA Metro), taking us straight to our first stop at Union Station — a stunning hub with stories as colorful as its architecture. From there, the path leads deeper into DTLA's hidden past, with stops including: Chinatown – tales of migration, mystery, and resilience Hall of Justice – home to infamous trials and notorious figures City Hall – political power and intrigue at the heart of Los Angeles Clara Shortridge-Foltz Criminal Courthouse – where the city's most shocking cases unfolded LA Times Building – steeped in media history and scandal Bunker Hill – once elegant, later infamous Angel's Flight – ride the historic funicular for just $0.75 with your TAP card Grand Central Market – stop for lunch at noon and enjoy flavors from around the world Ross Cutlery – known for its connection to infamous crimes King Eddy Saloon – a Prohibition-era speakeasy with a gritty past Skid Row – a sobering reflection of the city's ongoing struggles Hotel Cecil – notorious for chilling legends and dark tales The Alexandria Hotel – once the city's most glamorous gathering place The Biltmore Hotel – dripping in history, elegance, and a few unsolved mysteries Central Library – a cultural gem touched by tragedy and triumph The tour will end back at City Club Los Angeles. This immersive tour is more than a walk — it's a chance to see the city in a whole new light, uncovering both the glamorous and the grim. Perfect for history buffs, thrill-seekers, and anyone curious about the untold stories of Los Angeles. Prepare to walk, listen, ride, and discover the layers of DTLA like never before.
